Emerald hack: - Pokémon Inclement Emerald: A Decomp Difficulty Hack [Version 1.13] - Page 81 (2024)

Just started playing this on my phone--it's great! Thanks so much for making it.

Any updates on possibly when the next update is coming out? Just wanted to see if I should hold off on going too far if an update is around the corner.

I wouldn't hold my breath about a release happening any time soon. My last prediction on January 2022 was that the next version would come out in about 6-12 months. Basic math tells you that it has been almost two and a half years. My point is imagine Buffel Saft is a Triple-A developer but is the one & only developer. You want some release date? My prediction is GTA VI releases before IE v. 2.0 😎

This was a great hack, with some very well-designed and challenging battles. I like that it adds additional side areas to house all the later-gen species of Pokémon, so not too much gets crammed into the existing Hoenn routes and they feel familar in terms of available Pokémon, while still having surprises to them.

One thing I must say is that Swellow is insanely powerful. Once you pick up the Flame Orb and Choice Band, there are a fair few bosses where it can basically 6-0 by itself with just Facade, pivoting out to a teammate to switch to Extremespeed when necessary.

I'm trying to compile the decomp of version 1.13 on my computer. I just want to make some tweaks for personal use. However, whenever I try to compile, it gives me this error:

I'm pretty sure I'm using the most up to date version of agbcc. I'm running the compiler with Msys2. I haven't even changed anything in the decomp yet. Both "make" and "make modern" result in the same error. Hopefully I'm just being a dummy about this. Does anyone know how I might resolve this error?

I use the Lemuroid emulator on android, and apart from this four big bugs the game worked perfectly 99% of the time. There were a few minor talent bugs too. I therefore have the impression that the problems are inherent to the game, not due to me.
If you have a solution to suggest I'm all ears, but to tell you the truth it saddens me greatly to have to stop here, it's my first adventure on Inclement Emerald and I love the game very much

Phew, thank the gods I managed to resolve the bug. If this ever happens to anyone else : try restarting the fight (you need a save, yes) lose, and fight again. Changing the order of your pokemons could also be the outcome of the problem.

I don't know why I get so many bugs. Maybe it's bad luck, maybe it's m'y emulator or my version of the game (when I click on "save" it says it's the 1.1). Anyway this is the only version that worked for me, all the other downloads didn't work. Since I can play again, I will continue my adventure, hoping not to encounter any major irresolvable bugs. And if the version with 8g pokemon comes out one day, I'll be happy to play to this hack again.
